Camp Scholarship Opportunities
At Camp Fish Tales we recognize that many potential campers may not be afforded the same opportunity to attend camp as others due to financial constraints. Camp Fish Tales’ goal is to never turns away campers due to inability to pay. Our hope is that everyone who wishes is able to attend Camp Fish Tales and enjoy the wonder of camp. Still, scholarship monies are limited and we are only able to provide scholarships for those who truly demonstrate a need for assistance. Please apply early so that we can ensure everyone is provided an equal opportunity in receiving a camp scholarship. Recognize that camp is only able to honor a one-week scholarship for each participant per season so that others may enjoy camp, too.
Before applying for a camp scholarship, we ask that you contact Medicaid and/or your local community mental health agency and speak with your case worker to determine if there are respite monies available for camp attendance. If you haven’t applied for Medicaid, you may qualify. Please visit the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) for further information.
Beyond being awarded scholarship monies, there are other avenues available to earn an opportunity to attend camp. Please call Kristy Bermejo at 989-879-5199 to learn how you can help fund your trip to camp!
