February 7th, 2018 – Pinconning MI

Camp Fish Tales, in Northern Bay County, received $16,763.00 in funds from the Saginaw Society for Crippled Children and $2,500 from the Union Sportsman’s Alliance to “replace the old dock” located on-site at Camp Fish Tales. Members of the community will be coming together February 10th and 11th to tear out the old dock and put in the new. Camp Fish Tales is a camp for children and adults with special needs and has been serving campers since 1993.

The funds granted are estimated to complete the entire project, and with the Union Sportsman’s Alliance’s assistance, and volunteer members in the community, the project is expected to be completed during the planned weekend.

“The event has been placed on Facebook, and volunteers have already confirmed they are coming to help. We are hoping it will be a nice weekend, but its Michigan so we will wait till closer to the event to decide if the weather will be permitting. If anyone wants to assist, bring your drill, or electric generator, and put on your coat and earmuffs. We want to have this done before Spring” said Rachel Bartlett, Executive Director.

Rachel also stated that if anyone needed more information, call the office at 989-879-5199 or call her cell at 989-903-5405. “We are grateful for the community support and can’t thank the Saginaw Society for Crippled Children and the Sportsman’s Alliance Union enough for their funding and labor,” Rachel Bartlett said.
